About the Position*This is a one year benefited temporary appointment.*

The Facilities Worker performs the full range of semi-skilled cleaning, preventative maintenance, maintenance and repair's related to building maintenance, construction and facilities renovations work. Set's up specific jobs and performs manual labor preparation. Working independently when assigned and under general supervision, this position ensures a clean, safe, and attractive learning environment.
Minimum QualificationsAny combination of experience and training equivalent to six months of experience as a trades assistant or laborer, or six months of hands-on experience in general facilities and systems maintenance and repair work. Requires the possession of a valid California Driver's License for the operation of any vehicle or equipment required for position and in any emergency situation. Must participate in all OSHA required physicals and examinations.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working on a college/university campus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-Working knowledge of specific methods, practices, and tools related to facilities and systems maintenance and repair and semi-skilled and basic skilled knowledge across multiple trades.
-General knowledge of applicable trade safety practices.
-Working knowledge of building codes and basic knowledge of electrical theory and mechanical principles.
-Strong oral communication skills. Must possess excellent customer service and public relations skills.
-Must be able to complete the Defensive Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for CSU campuses.
