We are one of the largest private employers in Miami-Dade County; home to more than 13,400 faculty and staff from all over the world.The Department of Finance at the University of Miami’s School of Business Administration is seeking a Full-Time Lecturer in Finance starting in August 2019. This is a non-tenure track position, with teaching and service responsibilities for undergraduate and graduate classes. The teaching load is four classes per semester. Service activities within the department and/or School are also to be expected. This position does not require academic research.
A graduate degree (masters or doctorate) in finance or a related field is required. A Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) charter is a plus. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The initial appointment is for one academic year, with review and possible extension, but a multi-academic-year contract will be considered.

The Miami Business School is a comprehensive business school, offering undergraduate business, full-time MBA, Executive MBA, MS, PhD and non-degree executive education programs. It is one of 12 colleges and schools at the University of Miami, which is located in residential Coral Gables, Florida. The University is part of a major hub of international trade and commerce, and acclaimed for its global orientation and the diversity of its faculty, students, and curriculum.
ABOUT THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT:
The Department of Finance faculty are actively engaged in research, and in recent years, members of our department have published their research in a wide variety of journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and Management Science. Department members are also active in the editorial process of numerous journals, and have served as Associate Editors of various journals and as Editor of Financial Management. The department maintains an active seminar series and an internal brown bag series, and hosts the annual Miami Behavioral Finance Conference. In addition, the department hosted the 2013 SFS Finance Cavalcade organized by the Society for Financial Studies. We have a growing PhD program in Finance and an innovative Master of Science in Finance program.
