Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The physician in the physician scientist track managing robust research portfolio and will provide direct outpatient care to patients one full day a week, proportionate to his research. He/she will provide outpatient clinic and endoscopic services.

Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

• Approximately 80% of time involved in funded research in Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Transplant Hepatology
• Supervision of GI fellows in outpatient clinic on the Medical Campus one half day a week
• Perform endoscopic services outpatients
• Maintain outpatient clinic schedule
• Will be assigned night and weekend call proportionate to effort.


• MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
• Completed 3 year ACGME US gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowship
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Transplant Hepatology {or board eligible)
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply {must have license prior to credentialing)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Completion of US ACGME 3 year gastroenterology fellowship
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Valid DEA licensure
