Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Clinical Operations primarily supports GSPP's clinics by providing administrative and operational support for all of the clinics as well as providing on-site coverage primarily at the Sturm Center (at least three days per week) and occasionally at the Professional Psychology Clinic and or satellite locations. Operational support will include managing client billing, tracking and reporting on client data, hiring and supervising student clinic assistants, working with support personnel around technology and building issues, onboarding and paying clinical supervisors, purchasing clinic supplies, etc. This person will provide student therapists and student clinic assistants with support around both logistical and clinical issues that arise, including emergency psychiatric holds and other clinic emergencies. As needed, the individual may provide clinical support, for example by screening incoming referrals and assigning cases. There is the possibility of providing some direct clinical services or supervision based on the interest, clinic needs and skillset of the individual. The Assistant Director of Clinical Operations reports directly to GSPP's Director of Clinical Operations.

This is a full-time, benefited position exempt from overtime. The work schedule will include regularly scheduled evening hours on multiple days each week (Mondays and Tuesdays at a minimum) as well as daytime hours in order to provide coverage at the clinics. This position is funded through June 30, 2020, with a likelihood of continued funding.





Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Titanium or previous experience with other electronic medical record systems
  • Knowledge of best practices to create an inclusive clinical and training environment
  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong relational, verbal and written communication skills, including customer service and de-escalation skills
  • Strong technology skills, including familiarity with MS Office suite
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Strong skills in problem-solving that demonstrate both strong judgment and creativity
  • Ability to discern when to ask for help.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow both HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
  • Ability to be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to adapt to change and growth with flexibility and humor

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar in the State of Colorado.
  • Prior experience providing administrative and operational support.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a training clinic and/or training environment.
  • Prior experience with accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar field.
  • Prior experience with human resources management or a similar field.
  • Prior experience with Titanium or other electronic medical record systems.
  • Prior experience with billing for Medicaid, Medicare, or other government insurance.
  • Prior experience with crisis management.


Working Environment
1. Non-standard office environment.
2. Noise level is quiet to moderate, with frequent interruptions.

Physical Activities
1. Ability to sit or stand in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
2. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Work Schedule
Work schedule is to be determined, but will include regularly scheduled evening hours on multiple days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings at a minimum). An example schedule would be: Mondays and Thursdays 10:30am-7:30pm, Tuesdays 2:30pm-7:30pm, Wednesdays 1:30pm-8:30pm, and Fridays 8:00am-3:30pm.

Salary Range
