This full-time position serves as a primary recruiter and territory manager in the Office of Admissions. The successful candidate for this position will possess a can-do attitude and a desire to work in a team oriented environment, while also being able to work independently. A sense of humor and flexibility is strongly desired.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning and implementing recruitment travel in a defined territory;
  • Conducting student interviews and evaluating perspective students;
  • Reviewing applications for admission;
  • Contacting prospective students and applicants using all methods available including phone, email, texting, and social media;
  • Representing Dean College at college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events;
  • Monitoring prospective students' activity from inquiry to enrollment;
  • Coordinating admissions-related activities, processes, and procedures;
  • Providing admission presentations to campus visitors and various constituent groups; 
  • Completing routine reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedule, travel, and special programs; 
  • Evening and weekend work will be required, including significant recruitment travel which is heaviest in September, October, November, March and April;
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required;
  • Valid driver's license required;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a collegiate setting;
  • For Senior Admissions Counselor- Minimum of 2 years professional experience required;
  • For Admissions Counselor-One year or more of professional or student admissions experience preferred;
  • Work effectively with ethnic, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and administrators;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain good organizational skills; 
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required; 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an attention to detail;
  • Experience utilizing technology including Microsoft Office, web-based tools, and student information systems.
