This is a skilled technical work at the journeyman level involving operating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing building HVAC systems and components to include but not limited to chillers, air handlers, terminal units, water coils, pumps, valves, motor starters and other related equipment. (Systems are primarily central air handling type with hydronic heating and cooling units)Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
*Troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration, air-conditioning, heating or related equipment.
*Understanding and following oral and written instructions and working from blueprints and sketches.
*Understanding and applying standard trade practices in performing work
*Using refrigerant handling equipment and if not already, becoming certified to do so.
lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, working over head, climbing stairs, using regular and/or extended ladders throughout 8 hour work shift.
