The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. We are seeking a qualified candidate with expertise in semiconductor device physics to support a number of research initiatives at the University of Virginia.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other field related to optoelectronic device technology. The candidate should have experience with design, fabrication, and characterization of optoelectronic devices, with preference for knowledge of photodetectors. Strong candidates should also have familiarity with the operation of characterization equipment including semiconductor lasers, fiber optics, high-speed electronics, and spectrum analyzers
