Position Summary:

Incumbent plays an ongoing key role in the organization's goal of increasing automation within the SBO department, either via existing or new technology or process improvements while ensuring compliance with both federal and state government mandated requirements in the self pay AR arena. This position will implement, modify and troubleshoot specified systems or applications, data flows, information transmissions, and report designs throughout the receivables cycle that touches/impacts patient collections while providing production support to both staff and SBO Leadership. Using a collaborative process, the incumbent will analyze data exchange for accuracy between departments and the different systems/applications that interface directly or indirectly to the current patient account system.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $22.70 Midpoint $30.05 Maximum $37.40

Required Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience working with government billing, within an acute care environment

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to summarize and present results in clear formats

Able to communicate effectively, both in person and on the telephone

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must have knowledge of basic accounting

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Prior experience working with Medicare RAC Auditing

Understands Hospital appeal rights under the RAC, ADR, and CERT programs
