Director of Housing Administration and Assessment
The Office of Housing and Residence Life at UNC Charlotte invites candidates to apply for the Director of Housing Administration and Assessment. There has never been a more exciting time to become a Forty-Niner. Although we are the youngest of the 16 schools in the UNC system, as of this fall, we have the third largest enrollment of all UNC campuses. Located in the 17th largest city in the country, our campus serves over 29,000 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.
We are home to 17 residence halls, housing nearly 6,300 students in some of the most groundbreaking facilities in the country with an emphasis on co-curricular learning and academic success. Traditional tower residence halls, suites, and apartments serve to provide options and mobility for students choosing to live on campus. Learning communities, Greek village, honors, international and academic housing are a few of the options available and indicative of the wide range of choices to be made by Forty-Niners.
The Director of Housing Administration and Assessment, reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, is a newly created position that serve as a Senior level administrator responsible for Occupancy Management, Assignment of Residents, Off-Campus Housing Relations and Departmental Assessment efforts.
This position is responsible for leading, supervision and the strategic development of data collection, assessment and research that will have a direct impact on the quality of students' residential and co-curricular educational experiences campus life. Responsible for leading and the supervision of developing assessment tools, residential data collection and program implementation while developing, directing, overseeing and supervising all departmental functions related to divisional assessment related to housing and residence life. Responsible for leading and the supervision of housing administration, occupancy management, promoting on-campus housing, the Niner Choice program; and off-campus housing relations. To serve as the liaison between off-campus students and UNC Charlotte campus resources. To serve as the departmental liaison and partner with off-campus property managers and overseeing housing for residential academic programs. To manage occupancy and placement of students that enhance the academic, social and personal development of students.

Master's Degree (preferably in business administration, higher education, counseling and/or student personnel, or related field). 7-10 years of progressive professional (post-masters) experience in business administration, campus housing, student affairs or a related field.
Doctorate in Higher Education, Business Administration, Student Personnel or related field.
