This position provides administrative support for one faculty member, including administrative, lab and accounting responsibilities.

Performs general administrative duties: answers telephone calls; open, sort and distributes incoming correspondences; type forms and correspondence; filing; filling and managing UGA-required forms including but not limited to shipment and importation of reagents, and material transfer documents.

Assists faculty supervisor and lab members with the preparation and submission of extramural grant applications, including filling out and maintaining forms, budget development, interacting with sponsored program staff, filing out/submitting relevant compliance paperwork.

Assists faculty supervisor with ordering lab supplies and tracking deliveries, ensuring equipment maintenance contracts are kept up to date.

Develops annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets for extramural and internal accounts held by the faculty supervisor. Monitors expenditures and works with the faculty supervisor to ensure appropriate expenses and budgets are maintained.

Performs general administrative duties associated with projects involving human subjects: filing out/submitting relevant compliance paperwork. Makes travel arrangements for subjects, including travel authorities and reimbursements. Assist PI in coordinating between different study sites.
