FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Curriculum and Teaching in Hunter College’s School of Education seeks applicants for a tenure track position in Education Leadership, Assistant or Associate Professor level, based upon qualifications, effective Fall 2019.

Duties associated with this position include: 1) teaching graduate courses in Education Leadership Programs, 2) engaging in research, scholarly writing and grant work, 3) serving on program, department, school, college and university committees, where appropriate, and 4) student advisement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree is required in Education Leadership, or a related field. Applicants should have evidence of successful teaching/leadership at K-12 and university levels, and demonstrate record of scholarship. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda that relates to important questions about education leadership and school improvement. Candidates with a proven track record in research/practice in school improvement are highly desirable. The successful candidate will also be able to teach graduate courses in education leadership, as well as engaging in collaboration with local schools. In addition, applicants should have university teaching and supervisory experience and competence in utilizing technology as an educational tool.
