Oversees editorial post production work involved with ACCTV long form TV projects and shorter video series as well as promotional content (produced inside and outside the studio), to help establish and manage an organized pipeline for editorial/post production process along with an edit/share system for the studio.Description of Duties and TasksEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Curates, develops, and builds ACCTV editorial department and post production pipeline involved with newly produced content for ACCTV, Channel 19. Projects will include docu-reality series, news related to sketch comedy shows produced in the studio, behind the scenes type programming with students/faculty, editing existing programs and performances from different departments at college (like dance, art, theater, etc), as well as shorter Station IDs, interstitial promotional/commercial type videos and teasers between ACCTV programs and advertising new shows for the station.
  • Determines good audio and picture quality, organizes footage, selects music, edits with continuity and creativity on non-linear systems like Premiere/After Effects, FCPX for producers on various projects for the station.
  • Assists with shoots and productions as needed with the team inside and outside the studio.
  • Works with other areas of Communications & Marketing support services for videos and promos as needed.
  • Monitors and reviews industry/market trends in media support services; researches, evaluates, and recommends implementation.
  • Collaborates closely with creative team to help curate and produce/direct new content for the channel.
  • Works on development and pre-production creative on new ACCTV content and programming.

    Knowledge of video and graphic software and experience creating original work. Professional reel showcasing shoot and edit experience. Knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and simple animation. Knowledge of audio mastering. Ability of maintain digital assets, archives and edit systems as well as assist with deliverables on various projects. Knowledge of post-production process, including media management and encoding video formats. Understanding of fundamental design, sense of color, typography and composition. Technical knowledge of sound design and color correction. Knowledge of editorial/narrative work and storytelling.SkillsMust possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

  • Two years related work experience.
  • Preferred Work Experience

    Three or more years related work experience in narrative or non-narrative editorial work. Experience working as assistant editor. Experience working in the TV or film industry.Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred Education

    Bachelor's degree in Film or related discipline.Special RequirementsLicenses/Certifications; Other

    Valid Texas Driver's license and good driving record. Reliable transportation for local area travel. Physical Requirements

    Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work is performed in a variety of settings including in-studio, on-location, and standard office environment.Safety
