Position Summary

As a member of the major gifts team for NYU Law, the selected candidate will coordinate with the team and administrative leaders to strategically align school and program needs with interests and resources of donors. The incumbent will be responsible for cultivating and soliciting primarily major gifts ($100,000+) from a portfolio of alumni and friends of NYU School of Law to support priority programs and initiatives.  Other responsibilities include managing volunteer reunion committees, identifying and evaluating prospects, and developing new relationships with unengaged alumni.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:6 years' relevant experience. Must include experience in fundraising, cultivation and stewardship of donors, and staff supervision.Preferred Experience:Fundraising experience at a college or university.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent writing, public speaking, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct professional presentations via phone and in person. Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
