Provides instructional chemistry tutoring and assistance with basic concepts, specific problems, homework, and test preparation; instructs students in the most effective use of textbooks and instructional materials and provides encouragement and personal support.

Shift Specifics: 5 – 16 hours per week.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Minimum Education Required

Successful completion of CHEM 1211 & 1212 (General Chemistry I & II) & CHEM 2101/3401(Organic Chemistry) or equivalent courses with a grade of “B” or better; must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Pursuing a degree in Chemistry or a related field.
