ECU Department of Student Transitions is currently seeking Office Assistants.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

•The Office of Student Transitions will provide a coordinated, comprehensive approach to enhancing student success through services that will enhance successful transitions, effectiveness, and independence of our students; and will provide the necessary supports required for improving student satisfaction, academic success and student retention.
•The Office of Student Transitions offers programs and services that meet the unique needs of students at every level of their transition.

SCOPE OF POSITION

Responsibilities:
•This position is responsible for providing accurate information to students and families about the Office of Student Transitions and ECU. Ability to work effectively with people in a constantly changing environment, communicate clearly with others, and be comfortable working with a diverse team including other student workers and staff. Dress appropriately for an office environment. Be reliable and dependable with regards to work schedule.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Greeting visitors
- Effective communications by phone, emails and with walk-in visitors
- Understanding computers and office technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Responding to emails, voicemail and faxes
- Check mail daily
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•The applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled at East Carolina University with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The applicant should possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, initiative, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to be a team player and work with a diverse group.
