Position Summary:

The incumbent provides support for and maintenance of the Desktop environment for HAIS to ensure optimal workstation performance. Serves as a technical and administrative lead to ensure an effective and timely response to requests for service and incident resolution.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $61,157.52 Maximum $106,467.12

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Demonstrated experience providing technical support in a network environment

Demonstrated experience with system design, implementation and support of Microsoft Windows

Demonstrated technical ability to install, configure and maintain DOS, Windows, and Macintosh operating systems environment, including MS Office suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Extensive knowledge TCP/IP protocols

Extensive understanding of Microsoft Outlook

Extensive understanding of wireless device technology and support

Knowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer system

Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience working as a desktop support technician, including hands on hardware troubleshooting

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call on a rotational basis

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Thorough understanding of DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP

Understanding of Remote Access Solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Knowledge of any of the following applications: Network Management, VMware Virtualization, Remote Access Solutions, Citrix Presentation Server, Symantec Ghost, and/or Virus Protection software

Net+, A+, MCP, MCSE

Previous experience providing technical support for any of the following Microsoft programs: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange Server, SharePoint, Windows Desktop Operating Systems, and/or Microsoft Office Suite

Previous experience serving as a project lead or manager
