Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for delivering social services, including psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, referrals to community services, and assisting as needed with discharge planning. Participates in case coverage and other necessary support for other social workers in the Department of Clinical Social Work / Care Coordination. Participates in formal and informal teaching, including supervision of social work graduate students and in-service education for nurses, nursing students, medical residents, fellows, interns, and ancillary staff.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $67,212.72 Maximum $87,967.44

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to take call after hours, weekends and holidays

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience in use of psychosocial assessment and psychotherapeutic methods and measures

Familiarity of Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH and CCS requirements

Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system

Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences

Master's Degree in Social Work

Lic Clinical Social Worker

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess complete understanding of acuity levels for specific patient population

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Two years of work experience in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program or other outpatient psychiatric services

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skills

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
