As part of a dynamic team of professionals, the Development Assistant, Annual Giving will provide administrative support to the Director and Assistant/Associate Directors for Annual Giving within UCLA's Health Sciences Development team. This individual will draft various documents for donor relations, fundraising events, and other correspondence as needed and help manage targeted and mass mailings. The Development Assistant will work closely with administrators and development staff to streamline processing gifts, charges, and other accounting transactions. This individual will handle correspondence that involves independently composing various reports, newsletters, agendas, proposals, and letters. Administrative duties of this role will include, but are not limited to, managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, preparing accounts payable transactions, and processing accounting orders. The Development Assistant will help to manage mailings, events, RSVPS, and other logistics as they pertain to annual giving activities. The Development Assistant will interface effectively with donors, patients and their families, senior administrators, and faculty and their support. In addition, this individual will emanate a customer service approach that develops and creates lasting relationships with individuals, corporations and foundations, as well as our faculty and staff to meet the goals our department.
