Position Title Admission Recruiter (Temporary Position) Division Department Admissions & Financial Aid Position Summary

There are two (2) open positions for a Temporary Admission Recruiter. These two positions will each be 2-year assignments on an 11-month employment basis, with July being the off month.

The Admission Recruiter’s main responsibility is to assist with the recruiting of students throughout the country and the state of North Carolina, as needed. The Admission Recruiter visits high schools and represents UNC Asheville at college-related events. Additionally, the recruiter plans and assists with communications, events, and activities needed to assist prospective students enroll at UNC Asheville.

The Admission Recruiter position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and the ability for national travel.

• Recent office work experience
• Extensive knowledge and enthusiasm about UNC Asheville’s curriculum, campus life, and overall educational opportunities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this position, the candidate must possess high emotional intelligence, interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills. The candidate must provide the highest level of professional customer service to our internal and external constituencies, consistent with the documented Mission Statement and Belief Statements for the department as well as the University Mission and Core Values.

Work Schedule and Hours

Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work required as needed.
