DESCRIPTION

The Rady School of Management provides business education through its Master’s degree programs, PhD program, undergraduate minors and courses, and executive business seminars. In addition to these educational programs, the Rady School includes the Beyster Institute, the California Institute of Innovation and Development, and the US Israel Center.

The Rady School's values are excellence, innovation, collaboration and integrity. The staff who work at the Rady School have created a highly participatory, high energy, upbeat environment where providing excellent customer service to our students and our faculty is a priority.

As a leading business school within a world renowned research university, the UC San Diego Rady School of Management reaches a global audience. The school’s website is an important component of our outreach to prospective applicants, students, donors, alumni, faculty, staff, business leaders and community members.

Providing information on our academic degree programs, as well as highlighting student life and the entrepreneurial spirit of the school, the Rady website is often the initial impression of the school. The website’s design, usability and up to date content are critical components of the Rady brand. As a self-supporting, tuition-reliant School, the website plays a key role in driving enrollments and revenue.

The position is the sole Web Designer at the Rady School of Management responsible for the graphic design, organization, implementation, integration, and user-friendliness of all web properties within the Rady School of Management's robust website as well as other smaller sites required by our business and student groups.

The successful candidate will demonstrate comfort with current web application programming frameworks and industry best practices for security and accessibility. Using a collection of standard web technologies, the position designs, implements, and maintains both the website's front end UX as well as back end integrations. In addition to these technical aspects, this position monitors and reviews web traffic and evaluates the marketing effectiveness of web pages using Google Analytics and other related toolsets.

This position also designs, implements, and evaluates major site enhancements using A/B testing and other standard approaches.

NOTE: This position reports to the Rady Director of Technology, but actively and heavily collaborates with the Rady School Director of Marketing & Communications and Marketing team to ensure brand and messaging consistency across all channels.
