Compensation: Hourly Rate of $12.50 an hour. Limited to no more than 27.5 hours per week. This is a Temporary (Outsource) position.

Description:

The Davis Center is seeking two part-time Administrative Support Specialist. This position provides assistance to the Davis Center Coordinator, staff, students, faculty, and visitors. The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable, and demonstrate superior customer service skills. Duties include oversight of the reception area including customer service for students, faculty, and staff in person, by phone, and via email. The successful candidate must have excellent computer skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Candidates must be accountable, self-motivated, able to deliver information in a positive manner, and able to represent the Davis Center and the College with professionalism.

Regular hours will be 8am-1:30pm or 1:00-4:30 pm Monday-Friday, but some flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Serve as primary receptionist for the Davis Center.
  • Assist the coordinator with office functions.
  • Responsible for opening and closing classrooms on a daily basis based on needs of the center.
  • Order and maintain records for High School Dual Enrollment textbooks.
  • Provide clerical support for faculty and staff including copying, scanning, filing, and faxing.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Assist coordinator with Center budget, purchasing requests, office supply inventory, and work orders.
  • Maintain records regarding enrollment and general recordkeeping.
  • Generate timesheets for Davis Center hourly employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Coordinator, Davis Center

Qualifications:

Required: Two-year degree or combination of completed education and related experience equal to two (2) years. A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred: A working knowledge of Santa Fe College or experience working in a college setting.

  • Dependability in following schedules and procedures and ability to manage time.
  • Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
  • Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization.
