We are seeking an individual who will help develop novel technologies to isolate and transform plant cells to report expression of plant gene regulatory elements. This person should have previous experience working with plant protoplasts as well as with plant protoplast transformation. They should also be capable of isolating nucleic acids and with general plant molecular biology.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Ability to isolate plant protoplasts. Ability to transform plant protoplasts. Plant molecular biology.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Activities and decisions are varied in nature, requiring the solving of both common and unusual problems. This position’s supervisor or other appropriate position is consulted for clarification of policies only where needed.
