JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Data analytics, project management, and program coordination for Annual Giving initiatives as a member of the Office of Lifetime Engagement. Responsibilities include management of the crowdfunding program, virtual parent education events, reunion class fundraising and committee management, senior class gift coordination, and pledge reminder and fulfillment process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Data analysis and reporting on annual giving performance. Utilizing Salesforce data monitor and analyze key annual giving performance metrics such as participation, retention rates, reactivation rates, and pledge fulfillment. Conduct in-depth channel analysis on annual giving programs (direct mail, online giving, call center) to evaluate response rates and ROI. Develop and produce reports and presentations summarizing key metrics and comparing to industry benchmarks and program goals. (20%)
  • Crowdfunding program management: Collaborate on launch of new crowdfunding platform. Using industry trends and best practices, develop guidelines and strategies for utilize crowdfunding for targeted and affinity-based fundraising campaigns. Develop and execute crowdfunding campaigns, partnering with student, alumni, and faculty volunteers on campaign development, goals setting, and marketing. (15%)
  • Senior class gift coordination: Coordinate day-to-day operations of senior class gift and communications with committee volunteers, plan and execute events, monitor progress and report on program outcomes. (15%)
  • Manage virtual parent education program: Develop and execute a series of parent education events using Brazen, a moderated online chatroom platform. Identify topics and program themes, recruit speakers, set up events within Brazen, and market programs to WPI parents. (10%) 
  • Reunion class fundraising and committee management: Manage committees for select reunion classes including recruiting and training volunteers, committee communications and meetings, and personal solicitation of committee volunteers. Coordinate and support the committees’ fundraising efforts, establish fundraising goals, and monitor and report on progress. (15%)
  • Collaborate with other Annual Giving team members on the strategic and tactical planning for the Annual and Parents Funds. Coordinate timelines and production schedules for numerous Annual Giving programs, mailings, and events. (5%)
  • Responsible for the production and mailing of pledge reminders for alumni, parents and friends. Monitor pledge fulfillment and report on outcomes. (5%)
  • Work with the Director of Annual Giving to develop metrics and dashboards monitoring giving by leadership donors (President’s Circle) and prospect management activity. Serve as a resource for Annual Giving team members to help leverage technology and tools to effectively manage prospect portfolios. (10%) 
  • Participate in other Annual Giving projects and programs as assigned. (5%)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in an academic or fundraising environment preferred. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of constituent databases strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work well with students, parents, alumni and other constituents; ability to manage a volunteer structure.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team and to collaborate effectively.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, reliably manage multiple projects, good communication skills.
  • Ability to apply good judge; tact and discretion is required to deal with highly confidential information.
  • Requires a self-motivated and mature individual, with the ability to work independently.
