Job Description:

Full-Time Campus Safety Police Officer night shift position (4 ten hours shifts, 10pm-8am), with rotating days off, available immediately. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of campus residents, staff and visitors using community oriented policing concepts. Duties include enforcing campus rules, policies, and state laws; patrolling campus, responding to on-campus crimes and emergencies; writing reports and acting as College ambassador.

Requirements:

Position requires a High School diploma or GED and Pennsylvania Act 235 certification with firearms; as well as a minimum:

4 years of unarmed security/public safety officer experience; OR

2 years of armed security/public safety officer experience; OR

1-year of sworn law enforcement officer experience;

AND

Completion of a basic law enforcement/public safety training program or academy; OR

Possession of at least an Associate's Degree in criminal justice, police science, or other related course of study; OR

2 years of the required public safety/security experience in an educational setting

Candidate must be a US citizen, possess a valid Driver's License and be 21 years of age or older. Candidate must also pass medical/drug screening and background check and obtain JNET and C.L.E.A.N. access/certifications.
