The Membership Services Assistant provides prompt and courteous customer service in a fast paced team-oriented environment. The incumbent assists customers with registration, addressing program and facility questions and concerns. The incumbent serves as a resource for all technical and operating needs of the registration system and provides training to users as well as ensuring the facility is appropriately accessed and maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
  • Providing detailed information on processes, policies, and procedures
  • Fostering cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts
  • Troubleshooting and resolving routine issues
  • Keeping well-informed on programs, services and facilities
  • Maintaining and recording deposits on a regular basis


CampusEssential Qualifications:
  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of related experience providing front-line customer service, in a University or College, preferably in an Athletic department.
  • Experience with registration software (eg. Fusion) and Point-of-Sale, Excel, Word Processing, internet and email.
  • Knowledge of an athletic environment/facility and athletic programs required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability and desire to work in a direct customer service environment and to participate effectively within a team.

Assets (Nonessential):
  • Experience with Fusion software and ROSI.
  • Knowledge of UTM campus and facilities.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification.
