Job Summary This position is responsible for the administration of enterprise servers and appliances.

Responsibilities
  • Manages enterprise servers and appliances. (20%)
  • Commissions new servers and decommisions old servers.
  • Maintains current servers.
  • Manages back-ups.

  • Manages user accounts. (10%)
  • Manages employee and student user accounts.
  • Resets passwords.
  • Provisions and deprovisions accounts.
  • Troubleshoots user access to external services.
  • Creates, updates, and runs scripts to update user accounts.
  • Manages file share permissions.

  • Provides support for Blackboard. (30%)
  • Supports Blackboard Transact, including Campus One Card, Video Management System, Datacard Printers, and Access Control.
  • Supports the Blackboard reporting system, including user training, generating reports, and troubleshooting.

  • Provides support for other department functions. (30%)
  • Provides technical support for all point-of sale devices.
  • Reviews, tests, and updates Continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Responds to technical support tickets.
  • Monitors and responds to email.
  • Creates end user training materials.
  • Collaborates with peers and management to complete projects.

  • Performs a variety of related duties as assigned. (10%)
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from a vocational/technical school or higher in a course of study related to the occupational field required, baccalaureate degree preferred.
