The Management Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall, 2020. The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate level courses in strategic management (capstone course), conducting scholarly activities that result in quality peer-reviewed publications, student advising, and service to advance the mission of the department, school, and university. Instructional duties include teaching three classes per semester. Although not a requirement, applicants with supplementary teaching interests in entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply.Detailed Job DescriptionMinimum Requirements
A Ph.D. in Management is required. Candidates with earned degrees will be given preference, but ABDs with completion of degree by August 1, 2020 will be considered. Candidates must have potential to be excellent teachers, active researchers, and participating members of the university and professional communities.Preferred Qualifications
Successful applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching as well as success in scholarly research, which includes ongoing research suitable for publication in quality peer-reviewed outlets. The ideal candidate will have an interest in teaching a variety of Strategic Management courses at the undergraduate and Masters level.Primary Function of Organizational Unit
