Assist Technology Services, Student Organizations, Faculty, Staff, and outside constituents with Audio Visual set ups for events that occur on the College of Coastal Georgia campus.
This is a 19.5 hour per week maximum, part-time student position reporting to the Technology Services Specialist. The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student’s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change weekly. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is canceled or dismissed early. This position requires a valid driver’s license and successful Motor Vehicle Records check.
•Work at least 4 hours a week, depending on the Audio Visual schedule of the week
•Serve as the on-site technician for campus events, evenings and weekends included
•Assist with the setup and/or coordinate audio-visual set-ups for campus events
•Maintain inventory of audiovisual equipment throughout campus belonging to Technology Services and Student Life
•Shoot and edit video of campus events as requested
•Serve as a representative of the college to outside constituents by providing excellent customer service
•Drive a college golf cart or vehicle to transport equipment between storage and event sites
•Other duties as assigned
•Must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours
•Must maintain a 2.0 GPA
•Must be able to lift 40lbs
•Must be able to climb stairs
•Must have knowledge of audiovisual equipment (projection, sound and video systems)
•Must have basic knowledge of MS Office Suite
•Must have a flexible schedule – nights and weekends, including every Monday night
•Must be dependable and available for evening and weekend events
•Must have knowledge of general office equipment
•Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactorily pass a Motor Vehicle Report investigation.
•At least 2 years of experience with event audio-visual set-up
•1-2 years in computer sciences or related field
•Experience with both PC and MAC applications
•Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
•Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
