The Employer Partnerships Coordinator reports to the Director of Internships and Career Development in the Division of Professional Studies and works alongside the Learn and Earn Coordinator and the Coordinator of Internships to advocate for students and increase community awareness and student participation in a full range of internship opportunities: academic program, Learn and Earn, STEM and non-credit career development internships. This role actively supports strategic development of the College's employer partnership initiatives and acts as the primary contact for new internship and career development host sites. Additional responsibilities are to collaborate with the Internships and Career Development Department staff and other departments across the College to develop enhanced student and employer internship pipelines and placements for growth areas in the College.
- Expand opportunities for students to engage with employers in pre-employment phases (e.g. job site visits, internships)
- Advocate for students with prospective employers and internship sites
- Actively seek corporate, non-profit, small business, civic and other partners who value equity and diversity in hiring practices
- Prospect and develop employer partnerships connected to college programming
- Collaborate with college faculty and other personnel to cultivate partnerships; consult faculty for technical expertise in their fields of study
- Collaborate with Workforce Development personnel to provide focused employer partnership recruitment efforts
- Attend departmental and program advisory board meetings to stay abreast of industry needs and develop professional contacts
- Act as first point of contact for employer referrals from other college personnel
- Screen employers to determine, along with supervisor, appropriate level of engagement
- Follow up with referring and other college personnel as needed to best foster relationship and leverage resources as needed
- Attend industry events and share important employer outlook and company trends with program staff and faculty
- Cultivate recurring internship opportunities with area businesses and community organizations
- Provide support, as needed, to other initiatives in the Career Advancement and Internships Department
- Organize on-campus events that connect employers with students
- Contribute to the marketing and communication plan for the Department, including creating content for web, print and e-mail communications
- Stay abreast of industry trends to allow for development of innovative programming
- Program development and evaluation
- Administer career search online platform
- Support student job seekers by publicizing opportunities with employers
- Share student employment opportunities with appropriate faculty and staff
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Business, Human Resources, Counseling, Education or closely related field; with 3 years of experience and/or training in any combination of career counseling, human resource management, recruitment, educational/psychological assessment, counseling, marketing and public relations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Salary Range: Starting at $49,711.00-$53,000.00 Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.
