Will perform duties related to student services and student government activities for the Student and Career Services area of the Office of Medical Education and Academic Affairs at the School of Medicine-Columbia. Serve as liaison to student organizations and interest groups and assist with student government activities. Plan and manage numerous student related events and assists with others. Complete website updates and serve as administrator on social media posts in regards to Student and Career Services events. Assists with meeting preparations for various committees.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and possess strong organizational skills. Intermediate computer skills are essential to fulfill job responsibilities, including experience using Microsoft Office Professional Suite applications. Experience with photo, E-mail, and financial applications. Knowledge of and experience with Web-based programs preferred. Advanced Adobe Acrobat skills preferred. Ability to work independently. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents, and the general public.
