Advertised Job Summary

The Curriculum Coordinator II uses principles of effective instructional design and adult learning theory to plan and develop effective instructor-led curricula, online modules and courses, job aids, study materials, and learning activities. Performs as a project coordinator as assigned. This position is established in support of expanded research activities or projects.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master’s degree in education or related field and 1 year experience in curriculum management or development, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in instructional design and training. Advanced working knowledge of applications used to create interactive instructional materials such as Lectora, Articulate, Audacity, Adobe Captivate and Creative Suite tools, Camtasia, and related open-source software. Working knowledge of integrating audio, video, and animations using eLearning development tools. Knowledge of best practices for e-learning product and/or web development including, performance, cross-browser compatibility, and scalability. Experience accomplishing all aspects of course ware development to include designing, story boarding, writing, editing, producing and course-building. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Master’s degree in English, social work, education or related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Experience in training delivery and development. Experience in application of adult learning theory, instructional design and online learning product development. Experience accomplishing all aspects of course ware development to include designing, story boarding, writing, editing, producing and course-building. Experience with interactive instructional software such as Lectora, Articulate, Audacity, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia and Creative Suite tools. Knowledge of best practices for e-learning product and/or web development including, performance, cross-browser compatibility, and scalability. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation. Excellent creative skills such as consulting, problem solving, and analytical skills with detail orientation. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to function effectively on self-directed work teams.
