Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Teach appropriate courses (e.g., EXSC 191, EXSC 530/L, EXSC 535, or EXSC 410); maintain systematic and frequent contact with advisees; participate in new student orientation and recruitment activities to include transfer and change of major students; utilize automated systems (i.e., Self Service Carolina, DegreeWorks, EAB Pathfinder) to support student advisement and campus referrals; introduce students to beyond the classroom opportunities; maintain knowledge of changing institutional information including admissions requirements, new programs, course changes, deadlines, important dates, facilities, college-wide initiatives, and state/federal mandates; complete training requirements as applicable; support academic and advising efforts of School.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching; experience advising undergraduate students
