Advertised Job Summary

To understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders like autism and intellectual disability. Using the human induced pluripotent stem cells as a model system we are focusing on pathways important for the establishment of neutronal circuitry during brain development.

Required Education and Experience

PhD in biomedical

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Cell Biology, cellular or molecular neuroscience or developmental neurobiology. Extensive expertise in molecular biology (i.e. genome editing technologist), mammalian cell cultures (i.e. neuronal or stem cell cultures), and microscopy is preferred, immunology and stress, as well as a strong biochemical background.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Experience and knowledge of cellular and biochemical techniques including, immunocytochemistry, western blot analysis, light and confocal microscopy.
