Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, position in the area of philosophy of law to begin August 16, 2019.

AOS: Philosophy of Law.
AOC: Open.

The successful applicant will be expected to make a significant contribution to the department’s PhD program, and to work with both Philosophy and the University of South Carolina School of Law to develop two programs: an inter-disciplinary minor in ‘Law, Values, and Society’, and a degree program within Philosophy focused on law.

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must have Ph.D. in Philosophy in hand on or before August 15, 2019.

Preferred Qualifications

J.D. is preferred but not required.
