General Summary of Position:

UMass Lowell Division of Online and Continuing Education is seeking qualified applicants to join our team Part-time. The Social Media Specialist creates relevant, compelling and engaging copy/content across relevant social media platforms.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Curate and create content to post daily across social media channels – including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and more
  • Create, and manage written content for a range of deliverables on a variety of channels including: social media, blogs, email marketing, and a variety of supporting collateral
  • Report on monthly social media activities to marketing team
  • Monitor social media channels for timely response to student feedback, important industry news
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with Marketing team to develop innovative content strategy
  • Help build and maintain a brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all touch-points in the customer journey
  • Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2-3 years digital marketing and/or content generation/copywriting experience
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrated experience in social media strategy, execution, and reporting
    Candidate should have experience in or knowledge of the following:
  • Content editing in CMS such as: Wordpress
  • Marketing automation platforms such as: Hubspot, Salesforce, SocialStudio
  • Content/SEO: Keyword research, content planning (calendars)
