DescriptionJob Purpose: Serve as lead in performance of general carpentry work to includebuilding, installing, repairing and maintaining of structures, furniture,doors, windows by assigning and directing work of carpentry personnel. Maypersonally perform specialized or advanced level carpentry work. Major Responsibilities:Assign duties, provide instruction and oversee work of other carpentry personnel in the building, installation, repair and maintenance of structures, framing, flooring, etc.Requisition materials and supplies.Prepare work reports.Build wood furniture and fixtures to include cabinets, tables, shelving, bulletin boards.Inspect finished work with regard to quality and adherence to specifications.Oversee maintenance of tools and equipment.Advise Carpentry Forepersons and others regarding performance of assigned personnel.Perform other related duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School DiplomaWork Experience: Four to six years job related experience.Certifications: Valid Driver's LicenseSkills: This job requires skill in providing work direction and leadership as well as advanced carpentry trade skills to include ability to read and interpret sketches, prints and diagrams; operate and maintain various hand and power tools and maintain related records.
