Job Summary/Basic Function

Provide efficient mail service for Dickinson College.
Essential Functions:
•Pickup and sign for all mail requiring a signature at the Post Office.
•Sort to department mailboxes and process incoming and outgoing mail.
•Deliver incoming mail to offices and departments across campus, in a limited time frame.
•Deliver afternoon mail and deliver packages as needed across campus, in a limited time frame.
•Take all outgoing mail and packages to the Carlisle Post Office.
•Computer skills and knowledge is required.
•Operate a POS register and tracking system.
•Knowledge of mailing procedures and costs.
•Interaction with college personnel using good customer service.
•Process FAS packages
•Assist/Cover with Package Pickup, student mail.
•Count and verify all incoming FedEx, UPS, AND DHL.
•Count and put away supplies.
•Limited maintenance on Mail Service van.
•Maintain a neat and organized work area.
Duties are not limited to the basic job functions.

Preferred Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience:

3-5 years

A valid Driver's Licence is required. Employees (operators) must have been in possession of a valid operator’s license for not less than three (3) years and the license must have been in good standing without interruption during that time period. Yes Successful candidate will also be required to complete ACT 153 Clearance No This position is considered "Emergency Staff." As such they may be required to report to work even when the college is closed or is operating under a delayed start. No Physical Demands

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent and repetitive basis.
Position requires sitting, walking, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, climbing stairs.
Driving a van.
Must be able to work in outside changing environmental conditions.
