The Master of Accounting (MAC) program at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School is a top-ranked graduate program that focuses on developing well-rounded leaders who are prepared to enter the accounting profession, or leverage accounting skills in their current roles, when their studies are complete. We achieve this goal by upholding a rigorous curriculum, taught by some of the leading scholars in the field; by focusing on accounting courses as well as courses in leadership, communications, and professionalism; and by giving students hands-on knowledge with the use of case studies and simulations.
In 2015, the MAC program launched an online counterpart to the on-campus format. This launch represented a critical point in the evolution of the MAC program at Kenan-Flagler, one that will expand the student volume significantly, attract working professionals who wish to advance their careers, increase diversity and geographic footprint, and showcase the program on the global stage.

Position DescriptionThe Program Manager is responsible for the financial and office administration of the Master of Accounting (MAC) department. This position is responsible for the financial administration of the MAC Program which includes financial processing, invoicing, reimbursements, monthly budget reconciliation, and serves as the liaison with the Financial Services department. Also, the Program Manager handles the office administration for the department that consists of making travel arrangements for staff, scheduling and coordinating meetings, updating and managing the Master Calendar, scheduling classrooms and providing administrative support for events/meetings.
This position will be the front-line representative for the MAC program in assisting students, staff, prospective students and faculty with questions. The Program Manager must work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide top quality customer service and help resolve challenges as they arise. Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and AbilitiesMust possess a professional demeanor with strong organizational, written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Highly motivated, demonstrates initiative, positive attitude, results-driven, and possesses the ability to work with a broad range of internal and external constituents and provide flawless customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience working with UNC financial systems, including ConnectCarolina preferred.

Location: UNC is located in the heart of Chapel Hill, the best college town in America! It's a friendly town of about 40,000 in the geographical center of North Carolina. Chapel Hill is at the western point of the Research Triangle, an area of about one million people, comprised of Chapel Hill, the cities of Durham and Raleigh, and the Research Triangle Park, home of many corporate offices and scientific research centers. Carolina is about 30 miles from the state capital, Raleigh, and 20 minutes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
