Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Information Technology & Decision Sciences seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need may include courses in BCIS including but not limited to: BCIS3690 and BCIS 3620. Knowledge in the areas of mainframe computing.

Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. Professional experience may be considered in place of earned degrees. Twenty-five or more years experience in systems engineering and software development in an IBM mainframe environment and proven skills in the following:

COBOL programming at the highest level
Experience with TSO and ISPF on the System Z
Expert knowledge of JCL and system utilities such as IDCAMS
Ability to transfer results through the use of the XMIT and XDC commands
Ability to use the SDSF status procedure to maintain PDS and debugging

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching college-level, continuing education, or executive education adult students.
