The University of Miami Hospital has an exciting opportunity as a Food Service Worker - Trayline. The Food Service Worker –Trayline aids in food tray preparation for all hospital patients and ensures excellent customer service.
The minimum requirements are as follows: High school diploma or equivalent education is required. Minimum one (1) year work experience in the food service operation field is required. Verbal ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, patients and supervisors. Must have good reading and comprehension skills. Uses tact and courtesy in dealing with patients. Must have knowledge of modified diet and food service standards. Knowledge standards. Responsible for adhering to all sanitary and safety regulations. Ability to efficiently operate kitchen equipment. Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment (i.e. microwave, coffee machine, slicers, ovens, trayline equipment, etc.). Knowledge in portion control standards. Knowledge in therapeutic modified diet restrictions. Manual dexterity for tray preparation, understanding usage of proper methods for food handling and preparation. Any combination of relevant education, work experience, and/or certifications will be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.
