Organization

At Sullivan County Community College, academic excellence is a product of the faculty-student ratio. Professors know students by name, and they have opportunities to enter into the kind of mentored relationships that truly accelerate learning. There are moments during the learning process when things just drop into place and everything becomes clear. This doesn’t happen by accident—it is a planned result of the array of relationships we build for our students.

At SCCC students are immersed in programs that become the tools for their work and educational life. Most importantly, they gain the skills needed to use technology sullivan_county_community_college2.jpgand communicate with others and the knowledge to work in their chosen field or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program upon graduation.

The expression “big fish in a small pond” aptly describes the leadership opportunities at SCCC. Students are invited to exercise and extend their organizational abilities. In two short years, students' paths are mapped out for a career or for further education.
