Job Summary/Basic Function:
The University of North Texas, Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation seeks to hire an individual at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Appointment will begin Fall 2018. This is a full-time, non-tenure track clinical position on a 9-month appointment (academic year) with optional summer teaching. This position will require teaching, service, research, or creative activity in one or more of the following areas: Exercise Physiology, Sport and Exercise Psychology, Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Exercise, or Sport Pedagogy. This position may also have a formal research assignment with one of the research units in KHPR (exercise physiology, sport and exercise psychology, psychosocial aspects of sport and exercise, and/or sport pedagogy).

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Terminal degree (i.e. PhD, DPT, MD, etc). in one of the associated fields of Kinesiology (exercise physiology, sport and exercise psychology, psychosocial aspects of sport and exercise, or sport pedagogy).
2. Evidence of outstanding organizational skills, as well as excellent written, verbal, and intrapersonal communication skills.
3. Evidence of successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in one of the above listed areas.
4. Previous experience mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous experience teaching online courses using Canvas or another LMS
2.Experience in curriculum design, assessment, and outcome measurements
3. Experience working with diverse populations
4. Collaborative research experience in one of the department's areas
