UC San Diego Health Sciences International (UCSD HSI) was established to extend UC San Diego Health Sciences’ traditional mission of improving the quality of healthcare through excellence in clinical medicine, medical education and biomedical research around the globe. UCSD HSI assists international organizations to improve healthcare delivery through long-term affiliations that incorporate advisory, clinical, educational, research, and administrative solutions and tools.
UCSD HSI utilizes the talents of the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, UC San Diego Health, and affiliated institutions to develop and manage high-quality health care facilities and clinical activities and to share its knowledge in developing medical education and biomedical research programs.
Through several customizable services, the UCSD HSI team works with various health care delivery organizations and academic medical institutions abroad to develop the critical intellectual resources, professional expertise, and infrastructure required to support high-quality patient care, education, and research around the globe.
The TOEFL Instructor will provided English language test preparation instruction to a group of international pharmacy scholars enrolled in a UC San Diego Health Sciences International program. Incumbent will provide one-on-one and small group instruction to our scholars to maximize their chances for exam and English language proficiency success.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two (2) years experience teaching English Language/TOEFL test preparation techniques.
Excellent writing, editing, spelling and proofreading skills including knowledge of proper formats, grammar, structure, and content to draft reports and correspondence independently.
Proven experience in training development and design with ability to write and modify curriculum for adult professionals; experience in developing evaluation tools for training purposes.
Strong critical-thinking skills and a proven ability to evaluate situations, present pros/cons and make recommendations/decisions.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
