Job Description:


Wittenberg seeks a Director and Professor of Nursing with strong, collegial leadership qualities and potential for success in seeking external funding. The successful candidate will be academically and experientially qualified, and vested with the administrative authority to accomplish Wittenberg's mission, goals, and expected nursing program outcomes. The individual will provide effective leadership to the nursing unit and should meet the guidelines established for promotion to the rank of Professor within the Department of Nursing. The individual in this position is an administrator with faculty rank, and the faculty portion is tenure-track.



Requirements:


Required educational qualifications include a master's degree with a major in nursing and an earned doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution. Required professional credentials include an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse license or eligibility for an Ohio RN license; 5 years' experience in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching and advising in nursing; distance and on-line instruction; program development; curriculum design; accreditation, program review, and assessment; and a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning consistent with the University's mission and goals.
