Position Description:
The Director, Regional Giving for the East Coast region, will be responsible for developing an operating plan targeted for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospective major gift ($100,000 and above) donors for UCLA in their designated region. The Director will also be responsible for Chancellor's Cabinet ($10,000 and above), Chancellor's Associates and Council ($2,500 to $9,999) and Chancellor's Circle (CA) levels ($1,000+). This individual will be responsible for developing a stewardship program for all major donors, as well as existing and new Chancellor's Society donors who live or work in their region. Reporting to the Executive Director for Regional Giving, this individual will develop and maintain a prospect pipeline of a designated number of new, renewed and upgraded donors and prospective donors.

With an established budget, the Director, Regional Giving will create an annual strategic plan with identification, cultivation and stewardship plans for major gifts, and will also create individualized solicitation plans and goals leading to gifts at the $1,000 to $99,999 levels. This individual will engage leadership donors in volunteer leadership roles, including a Chancellor's Society Regional Volunteer Committee made up of major gift donors in their area. Partnership with these volunteer groups will increase UCLA's visibility in the community and will develop, mentor, motivate and grow regional volunteer efforts that will empower volunteers through education and goal-setting to help reach established regional goals. The Director, Regional Giving will also provide volunteer and campus leadership staffing to include staffing the Chancellor, Vice Provost and Deans, adhering to External Affairs guidelines in preparation for and post visit. In addition, the Director, Regional Giving for the East Coast will develop collegial relationships with partner Development colleagues across campus to work collaboratively to increase donor involvement and overall philanthropy in their region.
