Position Summary

The Department of Population Health, Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center (PDRC), College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia is seeking a veterinarian to fill a position in clinical poultry medicine. Responsibilities include clinical services to the poultry industry and major participation in instruction in the Master of Avian Medicine and the online Master of Avian Health and Medicine degree programs. This position will be either a non-tenure track clinical assistant or clinical associate professorship or a tenure track assistant or associate professorship depending upon qualifications.

Clinical (Non-tenure Track) Assistant Professor Qualifications:
DVM and eligibility for certification by the American College of Poultry Veterinarians

Clinical (Non-tenure Track) Associate Professor Qualifications:
DVM, certification by the American College of Poultry Veterinarians, and 5+ years post-terminal degree experience in industry/academia.

Tenure Track Assistant Professor Qualifications:
DVM, Ph.D., and eligibility for certification by the American College of Poultry
Veterinarians

Tenure Track Associate Professor Qualifications:
DVM, Ph.D., eligibility for certification by the American College of Poultry Veterinarians, 5+ years post-terminal degree experience in industry/academia, and must show clear and convincing evidence of emerging stature as regional and national authorities in their field unless their work assignments are specifically at the local or state level.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

Masters or PhD in veterinary medical biosciences preferred, especially those with and emphasis on poultry.
