The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-orientated individuals for jobs that advance UGA’s mission of Public Service and Outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

40.0 hours per week. Normal work hours are 12:00-8:30pm, Monday – Friday; 1:00-9:30pm, Saturday and Sunday. Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. The work schedule may change for football and special events.

Position Summary

A laundry worker ensures that guests always have clean, fresh linen and terry. This position is responsible for sorting, washing, drying, and folding linen and towels, maintaining the laundry facility, and stocking housekeeping closets. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and contributing to the success of the housekeeping department.

Physical Demands

Employees stand/walk for long periods of time; climb stairs; reach, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and work with hands; see dust, hair lint, and dirt; smell odors to identify the source to clean; work in small/tight spaces (between beds and walls in hotel rooms, storage closets, etc.); lift or move at least 30 pounds; and push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
