The SeniorApplication Coordinator/Analyst will be working for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine Information TechnologyDepartment, reporting to Reportingto the Assistant Director and will  be providing expertise and support forthe system design, build, and configuration of components for Epic applications(such as EpicCare Ambulatory, ClinDoc, CPOE, ASAP, Willow, Stork, BedTime,HIM).

The Senior Application Coordinator/Analyst  will be coordinating theinstallation, testing, and validation of new Epic software packages andmodifications from Epic; designing and documenting test strategy and cases forapplication testing and interface testing among the systems with Epic;configuring and testing integration of peripheral devices with Epic;identifying, triaging, and communicating system issues; analyzing businessoperations and workflows, and proposing alternatives and solutions to IS andbusiness management that are efficient and meet the end users’ needs; assistingin the preparation of manuals for end users of the systems and formodifications to the systems; assisting in the development of resourcerequirements and project plans in accordance with Epic requirements andproviding support to include report writing, system security, and monitoring ofdatabases. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

RequiredEducation and Experience:

Bachelor'sdegree in a related field and at least four years' related experienceto include EMR software application implementation, experience with all phasesof Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or project life cycle (PLC) andmust have Epic Ambulatory Certification. An equivalent combination ofeducation and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Demonstratedability to work with a variety of healthcare clinical systems, such as, Epic,GE, McKesson, or Siemens.

*Ability toutilize an electronic medical record system to analyze information, develop andapply system solutions.

*Demonstratedunderstanding of how workflow decisions translate to applicationconfigurations.

*Excellentcommunication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, along with theability to interact with a diverse constituent population. 
*Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, along with the abilityto be task- and detail-oriented.

*Demonstratedability to operate standard office equipment and software including MS Office.

*Ability totravel to off-site office locations not easily accessible by publictransportation.

Preferred:

*Experiencewith end-user training.

*Experiencewith MyChart, CareEverywhere, CareLink, Order Transmit
