General Summary In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, the Women's and Gender Studies Program invites applicants to create a pool of persons interested in non-tenure-track teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously for part-time, non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply. These positions are represented by the non-tenure track faculty association and may have associated dues or fees.
Additional Information: A strong and viable Women's and Gender Studies Program is essential to the university's on-going mission of providing a quality undergraduate and graduate education. The Women's and Gender Studies minor and graduate certificate programs prepare students to think, act, and write critically about contemporary issues from a variety of interdisciplinary and multicultural lenses. WGS students are encouraged to take leadership roles in their communities using these insights and skills.
Required Qualifications 1. Master's degree with advanced studies in Women's and Gender Studies or related field
2. Prior teaching experience
3. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
4. For teaching positions, state law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
Desired Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching WGS-related content.
