Job Description
The College of Music Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Associate Academic Advisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Advise undergraduate students regarding their respective degrees.
* Provide staff support for Music recruitment efforts.
* Provide/plan staff support for Music FTIC programming.
* Assist with moving, loading of materials, including boxes of up to 30 pounds.
* Provide updates of students' information in PeopleSoft and prepare electronic documentation of student visits.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Strong presentation skills; strong problem solving skills.
* Ability to learn and use a variety of simple to complex computer applications.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in music.
* previous university knowledge/experience preferred.
